The role

We focus on CPG Market and Product Research; using videos to wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am what the rest of the quant stuff merely points to.

One of our key outputs is a qual report – currently a 20-30 slide PPT that is supported by several highlight films for each theme that is identified in what we’ve received.

That’s why we’re looking for someone like you: a Qualitative Expert, who has worked with video before, to join our qualitative research team and further expand Watch Me Think’s research capabilities.

This role would create, nurture and inculcate a process that would continue drive best practice.

Plus you’d be free (and actively encouraged) to experiment and try out new processes, ideas, products…

Responsibilities in a nutshell

  • Writing qualitative reports based on consumer videos per project for major CPG companies globally
  • Constructing storyboards from the transcriptions to support the themes that have been identified in the qualitative report
  • Presenting on-site the qualitative report to clients
  • Manage multiple simultaneous clients, projects, time-lines and deliverables (while juggling cats)
  • Travel as needed, based on client needs, 10-20% on average.


Watch Me Think is based in Chicago, IL – so ideally you will be based in the Chicagoland area, but you can be based anywhere within the US, but with the capacity for quarterly HQ visits
