Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – How consumers are leading the way on waste
Whether you love Greta Thunberg or not, there is no denying that she is making people sit up and listen. And is empowering them to take action, no matter how small, to make a positive difference to the world.
But she is not the only one.
There are many others that are leading the way on waste. They may not be doing it on such a big scale, but they care passionately about the environment, are proactively living a more sustainable life and are influencing others to make a difference too.
We wanted to speak to them, as we believe that it is by understanding their actions that we can attempt to understand future behaviour in society.
So, we recruited 13 UK Thinkers who are at the forefront of waste management to;
- Understand their waste management journeys and what they are doing to actively manage their household waste
- Learn about what makes a great waste management product
- Discover their key challenges and frustrations
- Explore the future of waste management and what they believe consumers, manufacturers, retailers and the government will be doing in 2030
The videos made by these consumers are inspirational. They talk about sustainability with logic and passion, and it is clear that the wave of change they are causing will lead to waste management becoming a strong and disruptive force affecting the industry. Both manufacturers and retailers need to proactively respond to the consumer driven changes that are coming.
If you would like to understand more from the consumers that are leading the way on waste then get in touch – we’re always happy to chat.
